What we collect when you sign up, why we need it, who helps us handle it, and how to get it deleted. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

The short version
- We collect only what we need to send your horoscope: your first name, email, sign, and, if you choose, your birth date.
- We never sell your data and never share it for advertising.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link. One click and you are off the list.
- Write to hello@retroandluna.com and we will show you, correct or delete what we hold about you.
Who we are
Retro & Luna is a horoscope newsletter and is responsible for your personal data. That means we decide how it is used and we answer for it.
For anything about your data, write to hello@retroandluna.com. A person reads every message.
What we collect
When you sign up for the free horoscope
- First name, so the email can greet you.
- Email address, so we can send it.
- Star sign, so you get the right horoscope.
- Birth date, only if you add it. We keep it so the personal weekly horoscope can be written from your own chart when it opens.
- Your consent: the date and time you signed up and confirmed, and the IP address used. This is our proof that you asked to hear from us.
When you read our emails
Our email service records whether an email was delivered, opened and which links were clicked. We use this only in total, to see which stories people enjoy and to stop sending to addresses that no longer work.
When you write to us
We keep your message and our reply so we can help you.
When you visit the website
Our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security, for a short time. The website sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis

How your horoscope is written
Horoscopes are written with the help of an AI writing tool, based on your sign and, for the personal weekly horoscope, on astrological data calculated from your birth date. Only what the horoscope needs is used: your sign, your birth date and your first name. Your email address is never sent to these tools. Nothing about you is decided automatically in a way that has legal or similar effects on you.
Who helps us
We use a few trusted services to run Retro & Luna. They process data only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement.

Some of these services are outside the EU. Where that is the case, the transfer is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
We share data with authorities only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe. We then delete it within 30 days, and keep only your email address on a suppression list so we never email you again by mistake.
- Proof of consent: for as long as we might need to show it, up to three years after you unsubscribe.
- Purchase records: for the period tax law requires.
- Messages to hello@: up to two years after the conversation ends.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- show you the data we hold about you and send you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your data;
- limit how we use it, or object to a use based on our legitimate interest;
- send your data to you or another service in a common format.
You can withdraw your consent by clicking unsubscribe in any email or by writing to us. Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before.
Write to hello@retroandluna.com. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.
If you think we got something wrong, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Serbian Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (poverenik.rs) or, if you live in the EU, to the data protection authority in your country.
Age
Retro & Luna is meant for adults. Please sign up only if you are 16 or older.
Security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step verification where available, and only we and the services listed above can access your data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before it happens. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
